Have you ever had a passion so strong within yourself that you just can’t ignore it?
Have you ever followed that passion and dream?
I have. I have three very strong passions in my life. My passions are writing, photography and scrapbooking. For the longest time i have been writing and have enjoyed it very much. It was within the past two years that I decided that I would turn that passion/dream of mine into reality and start to publish my work. I have published two books thus far UNKNOWN LOVE and THE LIGHT WILL SHINE THROUGH. I have also written three children’s books and have recently had my 11 yr. old daughter illustrate them for me so that they can be published as well.
The second passion of mine is photography. Ever since I was a child I have always loved to take pictures. i can still remember the day where I took my mother’s camera and my sister posed for me while I snapped shots of her (not realizing that there was actually film in the camera until my mom developed the film) and the pictures turned out great for a child of my age at the time. Ever since that day, I have become what I call myself to be a picture/camera freak. I love taking pictures and keeping them for all of the memories to have always and forever. This brings me to my last passion which is scrapbooking.
Scrapbooking is a huge passion of mine. As a child I would keep all of the photos that I had taken in plastic storage bins. That seemed fine enough for the time because they were organized according to category and events. When I became a young adult I decided to take my photos and scrapbook them into an album so that they would be more easily accessible to me. That is when I started scrapbooking. I started with new pictures of my daughter and then switched to old pictures that I had taken as a child. I now have been scrapbooking for years and absolutely LOVE it. My husband laughs out of love saying ” hehe you are a scrapbook freak…you are addicted to srapbooking”. The thing is, I am. I love scrapbooking so much that I can’t wait until the next event in our lives, the next time i can develop more pictures or the next scrapbook order so that I can yet again scrapbook.
Passions, sometimes can be so strong in our lives yet many times we do nothing about them. I would encourage you to follow your passions as I did. They will bring you joy and keep you content.
thank you,
Jana Adams
